Timothy has been litigating matters in the state, federal and administrative courts of Minnesota for the past 20 years. He graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota Law School cum laude in 1987 and Concordia College of Moorhead, Minnesota magna cum laude in 1984. He is a member of the Minnesota State and Hennepin County Bar Associations, and currently serves as co-chair of the Hennepin County Bar Association Workers' Compensation Committee.

From the start, Tim's practice has focused on the defense of personal injury and commercial litigation and the representation of employers and insurers within the Minnesota Workers' Compensation system. Tim's practice is unique in that he is equally effective in the district courts litigating civil disputes as in the workers' compensation courts defending claims arising from workplace injuries.

This experience has enabled Tim to advise clients from a broad perspective taking into account potential civil liability in addition to workers' compensation exposure. Many insurers and self-insured employers choose to retain specialty counsel for matters of alleged employer liability (so called Lambertson contribution claims) and subrogation recovery actions, and Tim frequently serves in that capacity.

We believe understanding the client's business is the essential starting point to effectively defending claims arising from occupational injuries, and we enjoy it. Supporting diverse and dynamic business and governmental enterprises energizes our efforts and informs our approach to the litigation process.

As a lecturer, he has delivered seminars concerning workers' compensation defense strategies, insurance coverage, the Minnesota No-Fault Act, employer third-party litigation, and subrogation.

Previously, Mr. Jung practiced law at the Rider Bennett firm, serving as chair of its workers' compensation practice group.

Believing a well-rounded individual makes for a more effective advocate, Tim's interests include music (trombone and accordion), mountaineering, and endurance sports (Nordic skiing and triathlons).
